About Lockgroove

Lockgroove is a daily music news site. Every day we publish five stories: three from across the music world and two about the streaming services that shape how we listen. Once a week we add an in-depth guide.

A news report alone is easy to find. What makes Lockgroove different is what comes after it. Each story carries The Lockgroove take, our own angle on why the news matters, and Put this on, three songs that connect to the story, so you finish every article with something to listen to.

How we work

We check every story against published reporting and link our sources at the end of each article. Lockgroove is produced with the help of AI tools, and every story is checked against its sources. When sources disagree, we say so. If we get something wrong, we correct it.

The cover illustration on each story is original artwork drawn for that story, not a press photo.
