Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" returns to No. 1 for a record 25th week
The country hit reclaims the top of the Hot 100 from Taylor Swift, while Tate McRae debuts at No. 2.

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" is back at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a 25th week, according to reports on the chart dated November 7. The weeks are not consecutive, but the total extends what coverage describes as the longest run at the summit in the chart's history.
The song takes the top spot back from Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero," which had held it for three weeks and slipped to No. 5. Reports put the previous benchmark at Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," with 22 weeks at No. 1.
The new top five is busy. Tate McRae's "Housewife" debuts at No. 2, the remix of Olivia Rodrigo's "Expectations" with Chappell Roan sits at No. 3, and Zach Bryan's "Lies," featuring Lana Del Rey, opens at No. 4.
One caveat: the 25-week count comes from secondary reports and a TODAY segment rather than a Billboard article we could open, and one stray site gave a different figure that looks outdated.
