Judge dismisses class action accusing Spotify of ignoring fake streams, with prejudice
The suit led by rapper RBX alleged billions of bot plays tied to Drake; the ruling addresses legal sufficiency, not the facts.

A US federal judge has dismissed with prejudice a class action that accused Spotify of ignoring bot-driven streaming fraud, according to Digital Music News and Music Business Worldwide.
Judge Josephine Staton ruled that the amended complaint, brought by the rapper RBX (Eric Collins), offered only conclusory claims and did not explain how Spotify selectively enforced its policies. An earlier version was dismissed in June with leave to amend.
Drake was not a defendant; the case cited him as an example. The ruling does not decide whether the streams in question were fraudulent.
One report says an appeal is likely. One outlet named a different plaintiff, which does not match the other coverage.
