My Chemical Romance reach No. 1 for the first time, 20 years after The Black Parade

My Chemical Romance have their first No. 1 album in the US. The 20th-anniversary deluxe reissue of The Black Parade climbed from No. 139 to the top of the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 7, 2026, according to Billboard coverage, earning about 78,000 equivalent album units.

Billboard describes it as the first anniversary reissue ever to top the chart and the longest gap between an album's release and its first week at No. 1. The album originally debuted at No. 2 in 2006 with roughly 240,000 copies, held off by the Hannah Montana soundtrack, which sold about 281,000 that week.

The result was not limited to the US: reports say the reissue also gave the band their first UK albums chart-topper. It follows a five-night run at the Hollywood Bowl, where the band played the album in full to mark the anniversary.

Coverage differs slightly on the exact announcement timing of the reissue's chart result, so the figures above come from the preliminary chart reporting and could be refined in later Luminate data.
